SUMMER UNITY TOUR COMPLETED:
311 has now finished their coast to coast Summer Unity Tour 2007. Playing 50 shows across 33 states, 311 played approximately 1,053 songs this summer; and a total of 91 different songs were played! At least 8 songs were represented this tour from each studio album, from 'Music' to 'Don't Tread on Me'. The album that had the most songs performed (167) was 'Grassroots'. Overall 311 rocked all of their classics and resurfaced some rare tracks including Creature Feature, Hostile Apostle, Loco, Don't Let Me Down, Electricity, No Control, Starshines, Salsa, Lose, Six, Borders, Sever, Cali Soca and Let the Cards Fall.

Another true highlight this summer was Matisyahu often joining 311 on stage for a special collaboration of "Love Song". And lets not forget about the new drum-circle arrangement 311 performed every night during "Applied Science"!! No one does it like 311.

STUDIO TIME THIS FALL:
311 will take a week or two to unpack and unwind before jumping right into the studio to begin work on the new album!! The band is truly excited about the momentum they feel going into The Hive to start work on new songs. It's undetermined how long the band will take to write, record and mix the new album, but you can bet they'll be back with an amazing new album! We'll of course keep you updated along the way, including release plans for 2008.

A few words from NICK...
Hell yeah! It's been a fantastic summer!
The joy of playing live has reached a new height in 311. The positive energy and good vibes have been palpable. We're excited to get the writing and demo recording under way for the next album.
We're trying to refrain from making estimates on release dates on the album because we don't want to feel rushed. Rest assured that we are working hard on new tunes. Lately, there has been excitement around jamming and improvising. We're going to let the muse lead us wherever it wants. More will be revealed! Have a great Fall. See ya in '08!

On her perfect day without tennis...
"No tennis in it? That's nice. I would wake up late, watch a movie, then go to the beach with a book and fall asleep. I'd also have candy. All day, all the candy I want. At night I'd go to a concert. My favorite band is 311."
