Music Rising (www.musicrising.org) is an organization raising funds to replace musical instruments that were lost or destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. Music is the heart & soul of New Orleans. The professional musicians of New Orleans need instruments to get back on their feet and to bring the city back to life...and New Orleans schools need instruments to continue their music education programs.
The Rebuild New Orleans Fund (www.gnof.org) was established by the Greater New Orleans Foundation for the relief, recovery, rebuilding and betterment of the community and city of New Orleans. This fund contributes to housing, medical & community outreach programs in and around New Orleans. |

| UPDATE ON LIBERAL HEXUM /
MARATHON RUN:
311's lead singer Nick Hexum just completed the LA Marathon run in support of his non-profit organization, Liberal Hexum (www.liberalhexum.org).
He completed the 26.2 miles on Sunday, March 4th in 5 hours, 39 minutes. Congrats Nick!!! And thanks to everyone that gave donation pledges for every mile Nick completed. Nick Hexum, established a non-profit organization in March 2006 called 'Liberal Hexum' dedicated to supporting various environmental and social causes. The group's first goal has been to fund research efforts and raise awareness of the effects of global warming.
"The consensus of independent scientists believes that CO2 emissions are leading to rising air and water temperatures resulting in catastrophic hurricanes and the loss of habitat for many species," says Nick, "This is a problem that humans caused and humans can reverse. The first steps are to understand the issue, spread awareness, and support research efforts to solve the problem."

Winning Super Bowl XLI was amazing. I am honored to be on such a great team! Hard work pays off! ONLINE RADIO CELEBRATES 3-11 DAY:
From March 11-18, www.radioio90s.com will spotlight 311's albums on its homepage. And on
3-11, 2007, the station will help celebrate 311 Day by playing a double set of 311 tunes every hour. And they will take requests.
Radioio (who run radioio90s.com) are also offering 311 Fans a free 30 day Soundpass if they email their First & Last Name, Email address, and the Code "311's-GOT THE BOOM" to gregg@radioio.com from March 6-11th. This free 30-day SoundPass will encompass commercial-free access to all of Radioio 's various online channels. This includes Radio90's which will be the featured stream hosting the 3-11 Day Special by playing a double set of 311 music every hour. Enjoy! (After the free 30 day SoundPass expires, fans will have the opportunity to renew for a subscription fee to Radioio, which we have nothing to do with ourselves).
