HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Everyone in the 311 camp wishes you a very happy holiday season and the very best for the new year ahead!! 2004 RECAP: 311 had a fantastic 2004 with the release of the Greatest Hits cd (representing 11 years of 311), and with the release of the Live in New Orleans dvd (representing the band’s longest show played - 5 hours, 68 songs).

		The Greatest Hits cd debuted at #7 on the Top 200 Albums Chart and the Live in New Orelans dvd debuted at #3 on the Top Music DVD Chart. And in 2004, 311’s cover of “Love Song” reached #1 on the Modern Rock Song Chart, which was 311’s sixth song to reach the Top Ten at Modern Rock Radio!! Touring in support of Evolver and Greatest Hits, 2004 highlights also included the legendary 3-11 Day show, 311’s summer headline tour with The Roots and performances on Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel and Pepsi Smash. Thanks to everyone that joined us in making 2004 a great one! NEW ALBUM IN THE WORKS: 311 is now busy at The Hive writing and rehearsing new material for their next studio album. The band will continue writing through January, then record in February and March - followed by mixing and mastering in April. Based on this schedule, we look to release the album in July 2005!! Following the album release, 311 will return to the road in Summer 2005, for a tour you won’t want to miss!

NEW WORDS FROM NICK: Cornucopia! An endless stream of ideas is erupting from 311! Inspiration is flowing quite well right now. Fun stuff! I'm hoping to have 11 songs written and demoed by the holiday break. (Florida Keys, here I come!!!) and then write another batch after the new year. We'll kick the mediocre ones to the curb and then have a rock solid album. Expect funky reggae, dancehall rock, heavy tracks, acoustic quiet moments, and of course hard rock uptempo jammies to get the crowd jumping. Ya know, everything we love and hopefully you will too! We're really enjoying the process. We'll have it done and ready for summer release, I'm sure of it. Summer tour rocking the house, mixing up old and new songs. I love my life.
