311 WRAP UP SPRING TOUR:
311 just completed their Spring Tour of 2004. Thanks to all those that came out to the shows and thanks to opening bands Zack Hexum and Pepper. Look for Zack’s debut album “The Story So Far” to hit stores on April 20.

Plans for a 311 Summer Tour are now in discussion. Keep an eye on the website News and Tour pages for details.

3-11 DAY 2004; TRUE 311 HISTORY!!:
311 blew the roof off of UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans in celebration of 3-11 Day!! For a sold-out audience of 8,311 screaming fans, 311 played 68 songs for an astounding 5 hours!!; the band’s longest show ever. This was truly a historical and magical night for the band.

The roar of the crowd was deafening as 311 took the stage to rock the band’s most die-hard fans from around the globe. Fans traveled to New Orleans from all fifty US states and four countries outside of North America for this spectacular night. They came by plane, train, bus and cars from all corners in one amazing show of unity. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights, the streets of the New Orleans French Quarter were swarming with fans in 311 shirts greeting eachother and singing in the streets. On the day of the show, thousands filled the venue parking lots with coolers and bbq grills for a 3-11 Day pre-show tailgate party.
311’s musical journey included all the 311 classics (Down, Amber, Feels So Good, Come Original, etc) plus b-sides (Juan Bond, Let The Cards Fall, etc) and rarities (Right Now, Cali Soca, Lose, Jupiter, Summer of Love, etc). The band also performed several covers; including, The Clash's “White Man in Hammersmith Palais”, The Cure's “Love Song”, and Led Zeppelin's “D'yer M'aker”. Also for the first time ever, 311 played “Seems Uncertain” and “Sometimes Jacks Rule The Realm” from the band’s new album “Evolver”. P-Nut played a stand-up bass during “Seems Uncertain” and Nick played a hollow-body guitar during “Sometimes Jacks”. The band also brought Zack Hexum on-stage to play saxophone during the song “Outside.” And Nick even showed off his harmonica skills on “White Man in Hammersmith Palais.”

A complete song list, for this show and all shows on the tour, can be found on the Setlists Page of the website.

Joining the band onstage at several points in the show were burlesque dancers waving huge feather fans, stilt-walkers, fire twirlers, jugglers, fire eaters and Mardi Gras Big Heads (Jester and Dracula). And at different points in the show, fans were showered with balloons, bubbles and confetti. A true circus of a night!
Despite the incredible length of the show, the entire arena was standing and cheering for 5 hours straight. The energy and excitement of the crowd was loud and proud… once again proving that 311 fans are the greatest fans in the land. Thank you!!

The entire show (and the week leading up to the show) were documented and recorded and will be released in November/December of 2004 as a special 3-11 Day Concert DVD.

Thanks to Chris Sins, of Atlanta, for all the great pics on this page.
