HAPPY 2004!!!
We hope you had a fantastic holiday. After being on the road since June, 311 is now enjoying a much deserved break before heading out on tour again.

TOUR 2004 ANNOUNCED:
311 will launch their first tour of 2004 at the end of February. The tour will include a dozen shows spanning CA, NV, NM, KS, OK, LA TX and AZ. Most of the tour has now been announced on the Tour Dates page of the website.

Tickets are on sale now in mid-late January. Visit the Tour Dates page for Pre-Sale and General On Sale info.

The tour will also include a very special show in New Orleans on March 11th for 3-11 DAY, 2004!! So be sure to make your plans to participate in 311’s most special event of the year!!!

As you know, March 11th is 3-11 Day; a day that 311 fans celebrate their appreciation for 311 (so wear your favorite 311 t-shirt, request 311 at your local radio station and crank up 311 on your stereo...or better yet, go to the 3-11 Day Show!!)

On Thursday, March 11, 2004...311 will return to New Orleans to stage their 3-11 Day concert event. The show is at UNO Lakefront Arena, where 311 will peform all of their classics plus lots of rarities, for a full night of music.

Pre-Sale Tickets will begin on January 22. You can find Pre-Sale info on the Tour Dates page of the website. The Pre-Sale will ensure you tickets and at a reduced cost. Don’t miss out.

Otherwise on January 31, tickets will be for sale through Ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster outlets. New Orleans outlets also include Major Video, Wherehouse Music, Dillards and Tower Records outlets. Charge by phone at 504-522-5555 or your local ticketmaster number. All tickets are general admission.
New Orleans is quite booked up with hotels, due to some major conventions in town that week. So don't wait too long to figure out your shelter. Of course any hotel you contact will be able to tell you how far they are from UNO Lakefront Arena and from the French Quarter District. Most hotels have fair cancellation policies, so you can hold rooms for a period of time before being charged. So get yourself covered.

THOUGHTS ON THE 3-11 DAY SHOW:
P-NUT: Get ready for another 311 Day extravaganza...but, this will be a whole new experience, not just a dump-truck load of songs, but songs of which you have only heard a few times live, or not at all. So get ready, this will be one for the memory books, and we are talking about filming the hell out of the show and making it sound as good as it can. See you there!!

CHAD: We’re gonna rock supreme for all you supreme beings!

SA: Hey everybody! Just spent the evening de-skunking my dog Pablo. He is now officially Pablo le Peee-eeewww! Anyways, hope you all enjoyed your holidays and that they were as memorable as could be. And thanks for coming out to the shows these past tours. We appreciate your support. Well, we've begun to forecast our next moves and if I were your local weatherman I'd say that March will be coming in like a lion this year. But that's just me. I grew up a stones throw from corn fields and have relied on the farmers almanac for years. Doesn't everyone? 311 Day will undoubtedly be a highlight yet again. We'll be serving up the bread and butter of course....or .....will we? There'll be a healthy diet of rareties......or......will...be there? Cracka what? Fun with words fun with words. 311 DAY! And as the great Sitting Bull once said, "Come, join us. We will have good times."
TIM: I love this party!

NICK: I can feel the excitement building about 3-11 Day. After word spread of what a unique experience 2002's show was, I've heard about tons of fans and friends that are traveling to the Big Easy for the big show. I know that one thing that will make it extra memorable for us and the crowd is preparing rarities. There will be debuts of never played live before songs. There might be unexpected blasts from the past. We've already started preparing, two months early. We figure if there is one show that is for the true fans, this is it!!! Here we go! Be there. Drive, walk, fly, take a riverboat. This is not to be missed!!! Bring your dancing shoes and a free spirit!
311 DOES SOUNDTRACK WORK:
On the summer tour, Adam Sandler came out to 311’s show in Orange County, California. He hung out with the band on the tour bus before the show and watched the show from the side of the stage. A few months ago, Adam asked 311 to contribute a song to his upcoming movie “Fifty First Dates” (starring Adam & Drew Barrymore). The movie takes place in Hawaii - so Adam wanted a soundtrack of classic 80’s songs re-created with a reggae-island vibe. 311 covered the Cure’s “Love Song.” Nick also produced a few other songs for the movie and soundtrack, including songs with artists Seal (“Lips Like Sugar”), Jason Mraz (“Melt With You”) and Dryden Mitchell (“Friday I’m In Love”) contributing vocals.

The soundtrack hits stores on February 3rd and the movie hits theatres on February 14th. 311 just shot a video for "Love Song". More news to come on that in the next Happenings page in February.
NEW ALBUM "EVOLVER" NOW IN STORES:: I love this party!

311's seventh studio album, "EVOLVER”, was released on July 22!! Produced by Ron Saint Germain, "Evolver" features 11 amazing songs - from full-out rockers to melodic gems; all of it classic 311 for the year 2003.

"Evolver" was released on August 20 in Japan and on September 22 in the UK and Germany.
