311 FALL/WINTER TOUR WRAPPED:
311 have now completed their 40 show Fall/Winter Tour, in support of the band's new album, "Evolver". Thanks to Alien Ant Farm and to all of YOU that came out to the shows!!

311 had a great time rockin’ some new cities along the way, not to mention Halloween night in West Palm Beach, Block 37 in the downtown streets of Chicago, a dozen college campuses and five holiday radio festivals!

During Alien Ant Farm’s last show on the tour, 311 had their crew go out and duct tape the band to their stools, as they peformed an acoustic song. Alien Ant Farm then struck back during 311’s performace of “Beautiful Disaster”, by parading around onstage while only wearing 311 girl’s hot pant underwear. Later that night, Dryden from AAF joined 311 in singing “Don’t Stay Home”. All in all, never a dull moment.
For a bunch of pics from the Halloween show, be sure to visit the Halloween Photo Gallery found via the Home Page of the website.

Thanks to Glenn Dupont, Orian Williams, Jen Langman and Marcy G for the photos on this news page.

311 DOES SOUNDTRACK WORK:
On the summer tour, Adam Sandler came out to 311’s show in Orange County, California. He hung out with the band on the tour bus before the show and watched the show from the side of the stage. A few months ago, Adam asked 311 to contribute a song to his upcoming movie “Fifty First Dates” (starring Adam & Drew Barrymore). The movie takes place in Hawaii - so Adam wanted a soundtrack of classic 80’s songs re-created with a reggae-island vibe. 311 covered the Cure’s “Love Song.” Nick also produced a few other songs for the movie and soundtrack, including songs with artists Seal (“Lips Like Sugar”), Jason Mraz (“Melt With You”) and Dryden Mitchell (“Friday I’m In Love”) contributing vocals.

Perhaps you have already heard “Amber” in the movie trailer. If not, check it out here:

The soundtrack hits stores in early February and the movie hits theatres on February 14th.
