On March 11, 2000...311 celebrated with a very special weekend in New Orleans. There was:
A fan appreciation party; where hundreds of fans gathered to meet each other the night before the show. Many of these fans, from all over the US, had met via the 311 Bulletin Board, but never face to face.

A special in-store (meet 311 on 3-11 at 3:11), where the Mayor of New Orleans gave the band a plaque proclaiming March 11, 2000 as 311 Day in New Orleans.

And a special concert. At the concert 311 played for 3 hours and 11 minutes (their longest set ever, 47 songs). The band also had the Wild Mardi Gras Indians and other costumed Mardi Gras paraders join the show.

On Monday, March 11, 2002...311 is doing it again!! 311 is going back to New Orleans and staging an even greater 3-11 Day concert event. The show is at UNO Lakefront Arena. Hoobastank is the opening act. 311 is planning to put on a special extended performance including all of 311's classics plus lots of rarities. There will also be plenty of special surprises during the show.

For those fans traveling from across the country to New Orleans for this event, we are offering special hotel rates to 311 fans. Click Here for a list of hotels and special rates.

AMBER VIDEO:
311 shot a video for their song "Amber" on January 9 and 10 at Crystal Cove in Laguna Beach, CA. The video was directed by the Malloy Brothers, who have done videos for Blink 182, Foo Fighters and MxPx. It looks really great!

Set on the California coastline, the energy, vibe and colors were a perfect match for the song. The video is being edited now. Look for the video in mid/late February. We'll keep you posted!
