Re: DTOM (I hear ya, Soundboy)
Don't mean to post another topic but I've tried about 6 times to post a reply (even restarted my browser) and it keeps telling me my comment is empty. =P on you flux.
Anyway, I totally agree that DTOM is an underrated album.
I love this CD. I bought it when it came out and had it in my work's stereo player for about 5 months and jammed all day. SA really shines to me in Speak Easy and Getting Through To Her, Waiting has a great island-funk to it that makes it real original, and I love Long For The Flowers, Whiskey & Wine and There's Always An Excuse. Although Solar Flare was one of the only songs that really had me jumpin' and brought me back to their older stuff, all the songs are groovable; the album has a great mellow vibe to it and is definitely listen-through material.
Then again to me, all 311 is poetry. I can't help but love 'em. <3
