i've been to the last 3 shows at the backyard

NO SEATS and..

ever since the mess of 06, you park in this church or some buildings parking lot, and they bus you over to the venue thats like a half mile or so away. Getting stuck back in 06 was not any fun.

other than that, its an awesome venue, not really in Austin at all though, out in Bee Cave, but it will be a great time

EDIT: also i think it depends on the bands playing for the seats to be up, but i've never seen seats at a 311 show

First of all, I think the parking issue has been resolved. I think they have a new(er) parking lot.

The seating...well, no. Its gen admission. There might be some seating, but you wont want to be there. i think its VIP type shit?! You can sit down in the back if you want.

Can we tailgate there? Thats my question!

We're headed to Austin for the two shows there. On the website, I see pictures from shows where there are seats set up on the lawn/floor, and some other pictures where it looks like no seats. Any idea how the setup will be for these Snoop/311 gigs? Any other tips on attending shows at The Backyard? I've heard nightmarish tales about the parking situation. Any advice?
