The 311 Day 2010 show is now confirmed for Las Vegas, NV!!! (Thursday 3/11/2010 at Mandalay Bay Events Center)

That's right, we're heading to Vegas for the ultimate 3-11 Day celebration!!!

FRIDAY MARCH 12
311 Beach Party w/ The Wailers, at Mandalay Bay Beach & Wave Pool.
3pm – 10pm. All ages.
Performance by The Wailers and DJ’s.

Seats in all sections of the arena will be sold (even behind the stage and at sides of the stage). But, this is not a full "in the round" show. The stage will be in the normal position at the back of the floor. The show is being designed so there is no obstruction (or very limited obstruction) for people sitting at the side of the stage or behind the stage. The band members may turn to face the crowd in any portion of the arena - but, the band will be facing forward for the majority of the show performance. Click the seat map link to view all seating options in the arena. This is a fairly intimate arena - and any seat is a good seat at 311 Day!

There are 2,000 floor tickets and 9,400 reserved seats.

The venue is an intimate arena, so wherever you may be located, you’re in for a great show! This is a long show, so choose whether floor or seats is best for you.

SKYBOX SUITES
Skyboxes: Have a big group of friends going together? The arena also has 6 private skybox suites available, which will be on sale at 11am on Wed 10/28 (an hour before other pre-sale tickets). Sitting above the top mezzanine level, the south skybox suites provide a private party room for your friends to all be together for the show. Skybox capacities are 18, 24 and 50 persons. The skyboxes have options for in-room catering (at additional cost). They also have private bathrooms and are equipped with a closed-circuit tv. The below prices include admission tickets for the capacity listed per box. So for instance, Box #1 includes 50 tickets and the box.

311 FAN PARTY TICKET INFO
Once again, we will have a 311 Fan Party on Wednesday, March 10th (the night before the big show) to celebrate 311 and to celebrate all the 311 fans traveling to Vegas from all over the world. The 311 Fan Party is a gathering place for like-minded dedicated 311 fans to meet each other and party together! If you’ve joined us before, you know just what we’re talking about! It’s a great vibe and a great time to meet fellow 311 fans, party to a great mix of 311 tunes and get pumped for the upcoming show! There will be drink specials and other surprises. This will be a great way to kick off the 311 Day celebration!! To avoid any confusion, 311 is NOT playing this event, but we will have a DJ rocking 311 tunes all night.

The Fan Party will be at JET / at the Mirage Hotel, Vegas Strip.

Fan Party tickets are $20.00 and will go on sale at 311.com on Tues, November 17th at 12:30 PST (2 ticket limit per order). This event has always sold out quickly in advance, so be sure to get your tickets. The event is 21 and up. 311.com ticket page, https://tixx1.artistarena.com/311

The ticket cost covers the rental of the space, bartenders, security, sound, lights, dj, and special surprises. We have the place entirely to ourselves! Come nod your head to this!

311 BEACH PARTY TICKET INFO
On Friday, March 12 (the day after the big show), The 311 Beach Party will feature a performance by The Wailers (Bob Marley's legendary band) playing all the Bob Marley classics!! This is a private event with tickets offered only to 311 fans via 311.com. The event takes place at Mandalay Bay's sandy beach & wave pool! You can lounge on the beach with a cold beer, swim, or just hang out & enjoy the sunset with 311 fans from all over the world…listening to reggae jams that we all know and love. After the Wailers, we’ll have a DJ spinning great party tunes. There is a bar and grill for all your food and beverage needs out on the beach. Come get irie!

HOTEL INFO / SPECIAL DISCOUNTED RATES:
Mandalay Bay is our host hotel and our home base for 311 Day 2010. We have secured special 311 Day Hotel Rates at the Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Excalibur hotels on the Vegas strip. The special rates are good for rooms between March 9 and March 13. Mandalay Bay is our host hotel since we are doing most activities there; while Luxor and Excalibur are next door. The three hotels are an easy walk from each other and are also connected by a tram train.

We suggest staying at one of these hotels, particularly the Mandalay Bay, in order that we keep the 311 Community together.

WHY NOT NEW ORLEANS?:
As you know, we typically hold our 3-11 Day event in the great city of New Orleans. From March 9 - 14, 2010 there is a massive medical convention in New Orleans. The convention reserved 30,000 hotel rooms for convention participants - making hotel rooms extremely scarce & expensive for anyone else traveling to New Orleans during that time period. The New Orleans Board of Tourism could not guarantee us an adequate number of hotel rooms to accommodate the thousands of dedicated 311 fans that travel to 3-11 Day. And what few rooms they were willing to hold for us were overpriced due to the convention. As a result, in the best interest of 311 fans, we decided to move 3-11 Day 2010 to another city.

WHY VEGAS?:
After reviewing all of our options and taking everything into consideration for 311 fans (hotel availability, hotel rates, airfare costs, availability of direct flights, party atmosphere, etc.) we have decided to hold the 3-11 Day 2010 event in Las Vegas!

We will essentially take over the Mandalay Bay venues, bars & casino for 3 amazing nights. Let the 311 fans from around the globe unite!

311 Day 2010 will definitely be one for the ages...get ready!!!!

SHOW POLICIES / NO TAPING - NO CAMERAS:
Audio recording devices are NOT allowed at the 311 Day show. Please refrain from bringing any recording devices. They will be turned away at the door. Professional Cameras will also not be permitted unless with official photo pass. 311 will be recording the show (audio/video) for the 311 Archives.

311 DAY HISTORY
Since 2000, every other year on March 11th ("311 Day"), the multi-platinum group 311 holds a very special concert event that attracts thousands of fans from around the world. The event is typically held in New Orleans. As a result, the mayor of New Orleans officially proclaimed March 11th as "311 Day" in New Orleans. However, due to a massive medical convention overtaking the vast majority of hotel rooms in downtown New Orleans, the 311 Day concert for 2010 is moving to Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV.

Billed as "the ultimate 311 concert experience",311 Day is the premiere event for 311 fans to gather and celebrate their love of the group and to witness the most exciting 311 show of the year. 311 plays an extended setlist (5 hours) of hits, rarities and covers; backed by a state of the art light and special effects show. Past shows have also included appearances by circus performers, aerial acrobats, fire twirlers, stilt walkers, jugglers, drumlines, and marching bands.

March 11th is considered a holiday to 311 fans around the globe - and 311's dedicated following of fans travel to the 311 Day show from far and wide.

For 311 Day 2008, tickets were sold to fans in all 50 US states and 13 different countries. The band played a 5 hour show (63 songs) for a sold out crowd of 14,000+ at New Orleans Arena.

In 2006, 311 played a 5 hour show, 66 songs. / In 2004, 311 played a 5 hour show, 68 songs. / In 2002, 311 played a 4 hour show, 59 songs. / In 2000, 311 played a†3 hour and 11 minute show, 47 songs.

A“Live From New Orleans" DVD of the 311 Day 2004 show was released in October 2004 and is now certified Platinum. With many music fans having heard about the concert or having seen the DVD...the legacy of 311 Day is now stronger than ever. And the 311 Day concert event in Las Vegas will certainly live up to the legacy.

It's clear that 311 Day has become more than a concert. It's a true happening. An event that began organically and has taken on a life of it's own. For 3 days the city of Las Vegas will be swarming with 311 fans - meeting there together to celebrate the music of 311. See you in Vegas!!
